The Finance Minister to report to the Parliament within the Ministerial Hour

Today, the Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili will report to the Parliament on the fiscal policy of the country within the Ministerial Hour, which is regulated under the Rules of Procedure.

The floor of 45 minutes will be given to the Minister for his report.

The procedure also envisages the questions by MPs after a 1-hour break. After the specifying questions, the floor will be given to the co-reporter for 10 minutes – the Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee and other Committees will enjoy 5 minutes each.

The non-Faction MPs will be given a 3-minute floor under the Rules of Procedure. In the event, if non-Faction MPs elected by the nomination of one political party concede their floor to each other, the duration of the floor in total shall not exceed 15 minutes.

Afterward, the floor will be given to the opposition Factions and Majority Factions – they will enjoy the number of minutes according to the number of their members, however, no less than 15 and no more than 75 minutes.

The final speech of the Minister shall not exceed 10 minutes.

The plenary can continue till the expiration of the agenda.
