Maia Bitadze discussing the climate changes with the British Ambassador

The Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Maia Bitadze held a meeting with the British Ambassador, H.E. Mark Clayton to discuss the global climate changes, the 26th Conference on Mitigation of the Climate Change scheduled in November 2021 in Britain and the participation of Georgia in these processes.

The parties touched upon the WFD program on climate changes and environmental protection and noted that the representatives of the economic sphere from the institutional and business sector shall be engaged in the mitigation of climate change.

M. Bitadze introduced the plans of the Committee within the legal changes and oversight functions.

The parties agreed on further cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy, Khatia Tsilosani and the Project Officer of the British Ambassador, Tamar Trapaidze.
