Members of the Education and Science Committee met with the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Shkarlet Serhiy and members of the delegation to discuss the relations between Georgia and Ukraine in the field of education and science.
"We had a lot of interesting discussions. Ukraine, it turns out, is likewise working on codifying education legislation and developing a single code. We're also trying to figure out how suitable that would be. It was fascinating to hear about our Ukrainian colleagues' experiences in this area”, - Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Committee, stated.
Because vocational education is a priority in Ukraine, as it is in Georgia, dual education was discussed at the meeting, with an emphasis on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
"The Ukrainian delegation extended an invitation to us. Our bilateral relationship is stable and powerful, and we aim to strengthen it even more. Education is one of the areas where these links can be strengthened and improved”, - Tamar Taliashvili, Deputy Chair of the Committee, remarked.
