Meeting of Shalva Papuashvili and Tamar Taliashvili with First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Ekaterine Dgebuadze

Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Education and Science Committee, and Tamar Taliashvili, Deputy Chair, met with Ekaterine Dgebuadze, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, to discuss the education system's readiness to begin the learning process in the aftermath of the Covid Pandemic.

"Tomorrow, on September 15, the learning process will start remotely from the second grade and above, and the first lessons will be held in the classrooms for the first graders on October 4”, - Shalva Papuashvili stated.

According to Tamar Taliashvili, the decision of the government and the Ministry is optimal, pragmatic and focused on ensuring that children are provided with the highest quality of education during the COVID-19 Pandemic and, at the same time, that their health and life are adequately protected.

As it was mentioned at the meeting, this year the education system ensured that all students, teachers and school administration staff receive a preferential internet package with a capacity of 20 gigabytes.
