Meeting of Nino Tsilosani with Advisor to Prime Minister of Georgia on Human Rights Issues

Nino Tsilosani, Chairperson of the Permanent Parliamentary Council for Gender Equality, met with Niko Tatulashvili, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Human Rights Issues to discuss the current challenges in strengthening gender equality and plan future joint activities.

Nino Tsilosani briefed the PM’s Advisor on the main directions of the Council's activities and expressed a desire to deepen cooperation, especially on issues such as the institutionalization of gender impact analysis and work on the state concept of economic empowerment of women.

For his part, Niko Tatulashvili expressed commitment for active cooperation with the Council and donors in order to ensure gender equality in the country, noting that gender equality is still an important priority for the executive branch and he is ready to work actively in this direction.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on the need for further cooperation and coordination, which will ensure the improvement of the gender situation in the country and the proper fulfillment of commitments under international agreements.
