The Parliament hosted the working meeting on the Bill on Construction Amnesty attended by the representatives of the authors, Tbilisi City Hall, Business Association, and developer and construction companies.
“This initiative is important for the business and will allow the cooperation between the state and the business sector from a blank paper. This legislative initiative provides all positions, though certain remarks still remain. Today, we are here to discuss these remarks”, - the initiator, Beka Davituliani stated.
The parties discussed the remarks of the business and private sectors aiming at elimination of the problems accumulated in the construction sphere in the Capital.
“We all agree that it is a significant step for the regulation of the construction market. Thousands of families will enjoy the opportunity to dispose of their assets at their disposal. At the meeting, we discussed the technical details for effective implementation of the bill to prevent the problems in the development amnesty part and set of the constructions to operation. We agreed on certain issues, except a couple of them. I believe, this package will be acceptable for everyone, population, business and public sectors”, - he added.
According to the CEO of the Business Association, Levan Vepkhvadze, the bill is important and timely.
“We all agree that cross and cute problems have been accumulated in the construction sphere for years, which need to be resolved. However, any decision we can make can be positive for some parties and negative for others. We are here to achieve the regulation of the chaos we encounter and to prevent the creation of additional complications for the developers. It is the starting point. All the remarks we shared are based on the protection of the developers. During the discussions, we will achieve a certain outcome to regulate the chaos without the prejudice of the companies which have never participated in this chaos”, - he stated.
